A shorty for you tonight. Todd and I talk again about the Wikipedia page, the time change that db just couldn’t get right and more problems with talking on a Saturday afternoon.
Plus Todd drools more over the new Alcantara componets he has picked up for his GP and db throws down a good rant or two. Good times, good times. Plus, you can keep an eye for the John Cooper Garages website to re-open this week.
Next time you are at the Owners Lounge at MINIUSA.com, you will see they are asking for stories from you, the MINI owner, for inclusion in the new miniusa.com. So, give them your story, but we would really like it if you could mention us over at White Roof Radio. Just a little mention would be cool and the ultimate way for you spread the word!
106 is uploading now. If you were one that had trouble downloading it Sunday or Monday, please try again. If you continue to have trouble, please let us know in the comments below.

db and Todd carry on without Gabe tonight with news of the week. Well, Gabe was with us, you just need to listen for him. Plus, it was Saturday so we both had a hard time talking.
As has been commented and emailed in (THANKS EVERYONE!), the for sure fix to keep your iPod from crashing with mono podcasts is to turn off the EQ on your iPod. This week Todd encoded the show in stereo, so it shouldn’t crash your iPod even with the EQ turned on.
Thanks to Kerry from Magicmini for sending in the first user generated news music. What did you all think? If you think you can make something that is equally subtly bumpin’, send it over and we’ll give it a test drive!
Don’t forget to check back over to Motoringfile.com for all of the news stories we talked about tonight.

Robert and his Wife report in from Italy…not driving a MINI!.
That annoying beeping sound? That would be Robert breaking the speed limit laws in Italy. But at least he has a cool GPS! Great to hear Robert being given what for by both his wife AND the GPS unit, affectionately known as Millie.
And Robert might be switching to a scooter? He could start a club with Michael!
We re-visit Gabe’s R56 design review and give you our take on the R56. Some windscreen talk and Gabe also give us his review of the M7 Understrut System.
We do go a bit longer tonight that we normally do on Monday, but there is a ton of info in tonights show!
Thanks again to the sponsors M7 Tuning and MINI Car Parts.net. Be sure to check them out for all things you need for your MINI.
Also, WRR has a swag shop in case you haven’t heard! You can check it out here.
Todd thinks he has corrected the crashing 5G iPod problem too. Please let us know if that is not the case!

This past Saturday, Hubie and the M600 travelled the 1/4 mile at Pomona at 10.8 seconds. It was an awesome run, that I actually have some audio for (hopefully posted here).
It was his best run of the weekend.
The winner who guessed closest without going over is…..

I’ll say 10.71
So, SBrcm, comment below so we know you saw this and then email us (feedback@whiteroofradio.com) your particulars so we can get your WRR shirt and Fireballed! Shift Knob.
Congratulations!
Gabe’s back! Starting off with a bang and throwing down with the laundry tips, iPod help and that stupid IE7.
Update…After listening to this again, I noticed we said Cooperspeed about a million times. Everyone knows that’s a forum, not a MINI Outfitter. That, of course, would be Cooper Sport. Now available in the US as well as in Canada (at coopersport.ca). All apologies Jason, it wasn’t on purpose!
Plus news of the week from Motoringfile.
Check back tomorrow and listen in as we go through Gabe’s design review of the R56 plus his review the M7 Under Strut System.

For you windows users…
Less than 24 hours have passed and there is already a vulnerability in the Internet Explorer code base.
This one is nasty too gang. With IE 7 installed, a website can get access to any site you have visited, using your creditials for that site! Like, your bank, your paypal account, your gmail account or your eBay account. If you don’t log off from those sites and hit a site that exploits this vulnerability you will, essentially, be hosed.
Tell all of your Windows XP users now! DO NOT INSTALL IE 7!

Is this you? Every time you try to play the woofcast, your iPod crashes?
Are you using a 5G iPod? Just upgraded to v 7.0 iTunes? Windows or Mac?
You, my friends, are not alone.
This is something we have been trying to fix for the last week or so, and every time we try something else, it still doesn’t work. Updating iTunes to v7.01 is supposed to do the trick, but Todd says he tried that and the woofcast still crashes it.
While we try to find a fix, Todd will be encoding the shows differently. Hopefully that will stop it from happening.
Also, Richard has some good tips if you are using a Nano. The updated firmware (v1.3) was just released today and hopefully that will correct some of the volume issues.
To get us started…
Play along with everyone guessing what the M600 will run this weekend at Pomona! Cool prizes, including a Fireballed! Shift knob! So it’s worth a guess!
Welcome to our newest sponsor M7 Tuning. Go ahead and cruise over and check out all the goodness. And don’t forget the brand new WRR Swag Shop!
Otherwise it’s just some rambling about all kinds of MINI things. iPods and satellite radio? Check. Voicemails? Check. db brags about his mileage? Check. Did wingnut disappoint? Nope. Plus more rambling about lug nuts, brakes, and the difference between convertible and cabriolet. And, does Gabe golf? Tune in next week!
Thanks again to Michael from The Mail Buoy Podcast for filling in while Gabe was out. You should check out his podcast, especially if you are looking for information about cruising.
I checked the voicemail line and it seems to be working ok. So if you have tried in the last week or so and weren’t able to get through, please try again.

And we are looking for what you think Mr. Hubie Fuh will run in the M600. Here are our guesses so far:
- Todd…10.27
- Michael…10.35
- db…10.4 @ 130-ish MPH
Gabe’s guess…10.20
Now, give us yours. Whoever comes closest WITHOUT going over wins a brand spankin’ new WRR t-shirts!
Update…Upon hearing about the contest, Fireball Tim has decided to add to the pot! Whoever gets closest wins a WRR t-shirt AND a FIREBALLED! Shift knob! WOOT!
db will actually be going out to the track and should have results as they happen.
Good luck!
We start off the next century of White Roof Radio with Michael Babishkin, in for Gabe tonight, as we cover news of the week. Todd blathers on some more about the JCW steering wheel, we talk about the newest VW commercials and a little R56 talk. Oh yea, we also talk about the availability of the parcel shelf and a bit about the M600 run last week.
Check back Monday morning to guess your time for the M600 at Pomona next weekend! That gives you a whole day to think about it. Here are our guesses:
- Todd…10.27
- Michael…10.35
- db…10.4 @ 130-ish MPH
Whoever comes closest without going over wins a brand spankin’ new WRR T-Shirt!
Update…Upon hearing about our contest, Fireball Tim has decided to kick in for the prize pool! Check back tomorrow morning to see what it is. Trust me, it’s very very cool!

Shirts, hats, coffee mugs and mouse pads, all emblazoned with the World Famous White Roof Radio logo.
Just another way for your to show your support! You can check out the WRR swag shop here. It’s high quality gear too! I’ve already had a sample sent over and it looks great. For those of you that might be familiar with the previous, 1-time wear WRR t-shirt, I can tell you that these shirts are at least 1000% better!
Don’t forget those Motoringbadges either. I’m sure your fridge could use a little sprucin’ up.
News of the week with Robert, Michael, Gabe and Todd. Oh yea, plus the live group from 100. What fun what fun.
More show notes to follow…

Number 100. Can you believe it? I know I barely can. Amazing to think that we have done this over 100 times (as I type this).
Thanks of course to Robert and Michael for joining us tonight! Don’t forget to check out Robert’s latest soundseeing tour. And be sure to check out Michael and his lovely wife Patricia over at The Mail Bouy Podcast, especially if you are looking for some great information about cruising.
Thanks also to the sponsors to the woofcast. Without them (or you supporting them), there is no way we would have been able to grow the show!
- Aaron and Andrea over at Outmotoring.com for being with us the longest and kicking down mad prizes for contests!
- Randy and Brian over at Webb Motorsports for sporting our decals on their cars and talking us up at the races.
- Matt over at detailingconcepts.com for being one of the first and kicking in for prizes.
- MINICarParts.net for sticking with us for so long!
Thanks to Todd for mixing the shows every week. For those of you that listened live, you should have an idea of how much work Todd has to do before the show goes up!
And of course thanks to Gabe for showing up. That’s all he does but he brings so much information and humor to the table (’you just got passed by a horse!’) that the Woofcasts just wouldn’t be the same without him.
And finally, thank you for listening! And spreading the word. And giving us feedback. And… and… and… It’s because of you, the faithful WRR listener, Whiteroofradio.com is one of the highest rated automotive podcasts on the planet!
All y’all should plan on sticking with us for a while. We have some very cool things we still want to do with this little dog and pony show yet, and they all promise to be very very cool!
Feedback? You should have this memorized by now. Just in case…
Questions, comments or concerns? You can leave a comment below OR email us (feedback@whiteroofradio.com) OR play along with the voicemail game at (206) 33-WHITE!
Until tomorrow gang, this is db, I’m done

Thanks again to everyone that came by to listen live!
Thanks to Pedro for setting up the chat room last minute! That was awesome. If you were in the chat last night, click that link and tell Pedro thanks one more time!
Thanks to Robert and Michael for stopping by.
If you are one that made a ‘bootleg’ recording of this and need to put it someplace to share, let me know. Oh yea, no making money on the ‘bootleg’ either ;).
I think we will do this again. Maybe make it a regular feature so you know when to expect it? Like the last show of the month or something? Let us know and we’ll work it out.
Show will be mixed and ready by Sunday for those of you that couldn’t make it. Unless you get your hands on a bootleg.
