Woofcast #172
Just Gabe and I again tonight, again via Ustream.tv. Yea, I know, you didn’t hear about it. We kinda snuck it in to do some testing, since the last time we did it was such a disaster.
We spend tonight talking mostly about the Clubman, including answering questions from the viewers. To finish, we spent a few minutes on the iPhone.
By the time you read this, Todd is all the way moved and still living out of boxes! That’s why he wasn’t around this week. We gave him the night off so he could finish moving, because we are cool like that.
This week we will be doing our 2nd anniversary show. There is a very good chance we will do it live again, on video. Keep an eye out here and at Motoringfile for details. I can’t say for sure, but if we do a live show, it will be on Thursday starting at around 9PM CST (do the math, forward and back, for your time zone). Sorry to those of you outside of the US that can’t make it. This is the only time we have to actually record the show.

News of the week from Motoringfile as usual, but with a twist. Todd wasn’t around, so Gabe and I, last minute, decided to do the show live via Ustream.tv.
Besides news, db tells a bad joke and talks about EBC brake pads, and Gabe talks about removing the armrest out of his car. Check back tomorrow our discussion about the Clubman, including answering viewer questions live!
Whiteroofradio turns 2 on Wednesday, August 1st, and we will be celebrating it on Woof 173/174. Pretty good chance we are going to do those live again as well, so keep an eye on this space and over at Motoringfile.com for the details!

2nd night with the new theme music, what do you think?
We roll into Gabe’s R56 talk with his new theme. What do you think? He brought his MINI home and parked it in the garage. The End. After I reminded him that he only bought a MINI and didn’t win an award, he gives us his initial thoughts.
As you would imagine, so far, he is loving his R56! You can read his first week review at Motoringfile.com here.
And I get to talk a little bit about alternative fuels. I think it was about 45 seconds, but didn’t really check the time. Don’t worry, I’ll keep on hammering the guys until they have no choice but to let me talk about it!
Todd’s out this week moving, so Gabe and I are going to take advantage of that and do another video show. Maybe. For those of you that caught the last, you know what a nightmare it was. I’ve been playing with ustream lately and they have made some great improvements in the software, so it should be a much simpler process. Watch this space for more information. If we do video, it will be Thursday at 6:30PM PST/8:30PM CST/ 9:30 EST.

Todd throws some shout-outs to the KC club, we talk a little bit about the Clubman’s engine and Gabe gets his R56. Which he talks about even more on Woof #170. And, db went to the Fireballed! SeminarBQ and got a scoop from Fireball Tim about the shops involvement with Street Tuner Challenge on SpeedTV. More on that will be coming later in the week.
And, of course, news of the week from Motoringfile.com. There wasn’t that much news, but each item we discussed in greater than normal detail since there were quite a few hot button topics.

Who knew that Gabe could snap like Bozo the Clown? Once that was discovered, Gabe chatted a bit about the upcoming 1 Series (who knew it would be so heavy?) Then we spent some time talking about Porches (who knew the 914 was so small?) which then turned us a little bit toward Volkswagon (who knew the Thing was so cool?).
Then, a bit of listener feedback. Voicemails from MINI United (who knew db could not really remember the girls in the windows?) and 1 from Ian about automatic transmissions (who knew we could still be talking about this?).
