Immediately after touring Plant Oxford last June, Todd and I where wisked into a very large room where we got to interview the Quality and Engineering Director for MINI. We got to ask some great questions, and he answered all of them! Everyone at Plant Oxford was very generous with their time while we were there and if you ever get the chance to get over there for a tour it is highly recommended.
A short week this week as I mentioned during #188. Don’t worry, we are going to make it up to you in the form of a live show this Thursday! Full details to follow soon.

We got a little silly tonight, but there is a lot of show for you, so lets get right to it!
Email starts us off. First, some events. Follow the links to get all the info you need. Pittstopmini.org with their event in October, MickeyandMINI.com coming up this weekend and The MINI club in Utah is having MINIs under the arches. Plus MotorTober at your local dealer. Give ‘em a ring to see what’s going on!
Then, a voicemail leads us into taking about track stuff. In fact, you can call this episode 1 of probably two of track day prep. It’s been a while since we have done one, so we figured it was time.
And we end with a preview of Robert’s upcoming Soundseeing tour which will be going up later in the week.
Want to learn more about Podcasting? The PME is happening this weekend, with a Podcamp going on Thursday. I’ll be there Thursday and Sunday for sure, so if you are going, be sure to find me and say hi.
Like I have mentioned already, we won’t be working this week. Instead you are going to get a great interview that Todd and I did while at Plant Oxford before MINI United. We are pretty sure you are going to love it. As a bonus for you, when we do come back (October 4th…mark your calendars!) we will doing it live. More details to follow later in the week. You might want to sign up for a free Talkshoe account in the meantime.

Mixing live brings us to finding out Gabe was actually awake, mostly because he worked too much. Then we find out Way and Randy are going to be in Topeka for the SCCA race next week. And then we moved into talking about the fine looking wagon that adorns this week’s show notes page and our thoughts on the new BMW x6.
Of course, news of the week from Motoringfile.com.
We are taking next week off. I said to reset show numbers, but really we just need a break. Don’t worry, there is still going to be something awesome for you to listen too, Plus there will be another Soundseeing tour from Robert! As a bonus to you, when we come back it will be with a live show! This time, via Talk Shoe instead of Ustream. Why the change? We want to be able to allow you to participate without having to refresh the page. Talkshoe has chat and (insert drumroll here) the ability to take calls! If we do decide to take calls or if you want to hang out in the chat room, you will need to have a free TalkShoe Account. I will post complete instructions later in the week.

Woofcast #186. For reals this time, not like yesterday. That’s what not having consistent internet does to a guy. But right to it, we start with a little F1 talk (more info at autosport.com) and Gabe’s MINI rides too low. We think it’s because he is driving around Chicago like it’s the Streets of San Fransisco the Dukes.
We talk a bit about Karting before Todd lays down this weeks tip. R53 JCW owners, make sure you are getting your plugs changed (even if they killed the dinosaurs)! Take this service bulletin if your service department doesn’t believe you.
Finally, Gabe’s review of his JCW Engine Kit. Of course you already read the review, right?
Zips are up as well, if you need them. Follow the link below for 186, go back to the show notes for 185 to get that one. Sorry for the delay. Oh yea, you must check out the dramatic prairie dog. It’s awesome!

iPhones lead us off before I go quickly into an update about the end of my year. If you are interested in Podcasting, the Podcast and New Media Expo is coming up at the end of the month, September 28-30th in Ontario, California. If you want to learn even MORE about podcasting, there is PodCamp SoCal happening on Thursday the 27th. I’ll be at Podcamp and 1 day, maybe 2, of the PME. Sunday for sure because the Ask a Ninja guys are doing the keynote. If you are planning on coming, leave a not below.
Of course news of the week. Of course you voted for MTTS already at the owners lounge, right? Make sure you mention WRR/Motoringfile in the comments too!
No zip file until later Monday. Sorry gang, but serious internet issues here at the house have left me with a connection that is just too slow to get it uploaded.
Edit. I’ve fixed the problem with the feed. Completely my fault (as usual). Sorry for the delay but I was internet challenged all week. Anyway, the Raw feed has been fixed which should carry over to the feedburner feed shortly. To get the correct episode in iTunes, delete what you have now for 185, go back to our itunes page and click the ‘get episode’ button for 185. But, like I already said, it might take a few more minutes for everything to get sorted out. And, again, sorry for the mixup.

Or, what we shall call the Interview Show. Starting off with Adam and Jeff from Alta MINI Performance talking about events, their big ass trailer, cool stuff for the R53 and R56 plus their new building. If you are in the PDX area, keep an eye out as they are going to start offering full service towards the end of the year. More info at altaminiperformance.com. After you check out their gear, be sure to check out their blogs!
2nd for today is Fireball Tim, Brian and Hubie from Fireballed! as well as Chris Hall, the producer of the upcoming Street Tuner Challenge from Was Productions. Some (not) details about the car and plenty of information about the series, to be broadcast on Speed Channel starting October 17th. I can tell you that the car is going to totally blow you away!

Robert just hit 40K miles and there are a few issues going on with his MINI. He was in for service and shortly after it konked out on him on the streets of Toronto! Turns out his EWS was gone. That’s the part that lets the key talk to the car.
Then, he wasn’t able to open the passenger door without clicking the key 3 times.
He is starting to have problems with his clutch as well. Sounds like the same problems Todd had with his ‘03. Anyone else having these problems?
Don’t forget Robert has done a ton of these! You can find them all here. He also does another podcast that you should check out. It’s called The Mobile Movie Minute, where he goes to the movies and reviews them in his MINI! Great stuff!

No Gabe tonight as he had a business trip, so it was just Todd and myself. Starting off talking about the iPhone price cuts and new iPods, then, into the show, and quite a bit of it for ya! Todd has owned 10 iPods (he thinks) since they have been released. Go ahead and tell us your iPod story below or call it in to the voicemail line at (206) 33-WHITE.
Rainman in full effect! Time to thank all of you for listening and checking us out. We are experiencing 1 download every minute of every hour of every day! FANTASTIC! Keep it up.
AMVIV update for those who didn’t find it on NAM. The reservation group code at Palace Station in Las Vegas is pcimviv. I was told that they have upgraded the tower rooms yet again, which I plan on checking out when I go for SEMA in October. I’ll have a full report then.
Does anyone need a front bumper for an R53? Todd has one, don’t ask why. Use the contact form, come up with a good reason and Todd will let it it go for the cost of shipping.
Plus, news of the week from Motoringfile.com.
If you are intested in getting your picture on The Street Tuner Challenge car that Fireball Tim and his boys are building, click over to stcmini.com to get all of the information. Time is running out with less than 3 weeks left!
Be sure to come back tomorrow. We have interviews with the guys from Alta MINI Performance PLUS Fireball Tim with full updates. Check back tomorrow for full details.

Lots of show for you tonight gang! Well worth the cost of admission I must admit.
We start with our tip of the week (check your lugs!) and Gabe tells about his experience with the JCW suspension on the track (he loved it!). Todd can’t figure out what his next car is going to be. Leave a comment below and tell him to just get a Clubman, please?
Mentioned last night and tonight, but AMVIV5 is a go! Details will be appearing on amviv.com shortly. For now, you can get the hotel information here.
And, check back next week when we talk to the guys from Alta. Should be fun!

Starting off talking about the weather. I’m roasting in SoCal while Gabe and Todd are enjoying nice weather. Of course, we had to talk about A/C performance while we were at it. Remember, my A/C has been track tested to 11.5 second quarter mile.
AMVIV 5 IS A GO! Info is posted on NAM and Agro tells me he will be updating amviv.com very soon. Oh yea, we have no idea what’s happening for MTTS in ‘08. Just keep it tuned to WRR and Motoringfile for details when they come in.
If you don’t have speedTV, now would be a good time to start planning that so you can catch the next Street Tuner Challenge coming up in October. I should be heading up to the shop next week to get an update from Tim and the boys.
Remember, the best way to get the Woofcast is to subscribe! Click the subscribe link at the top of the page for complete directions.
Plus, news of the week.
Check back tomorrow for some great info about Gabe’s JCW Suspension on the track. Plus, our thing to check for the week.
