Gabe does a rockin’ intro to get us started and we jump right into our 2 minutes of tech talk, reminding everyone that the great RSS reader NetNews Wire is now free. Then Todd and Gabe are putting Windows on their Macs.
In February, Gabe will be going on the BMW/MINI Press Junket for Rolls Royce, BMW //M3 and 1 Series as well as the Clubman. Watch MF in the coming weeks for more information about that, including a way that you can even help with the reviewing!
And the big part we cut out last week about warranty stuff. Remember, when in doubt, check with your SA. They will always steer you in the right directions.
Finishing with a few questions from our live audience. Don’t forget, we do this on Thursdays and the next time live it will get posted on MF and here the morning of.

How about a little brake talk before getting going? By the way, if you are wondering, US$1,000 is pretty steep for a brake job on the MINI. It’s about the easier car to do brakes on.
Moving on to things that we either have to replace or have replaced but didn’t work. We even included a few minutes of Mac talk in there somehow too.
Plus, news of the week from Motoringfile.
We were live for tonight and tomorrows show via uStream.tv. Thanks to everyone for coming by and playing along from home! So you know, we do the show every Thursday at 7PM PST. If you would like to join us, keep an eye out the morning of because a reminder will be posted.
Gabe throws down thanks to everyone and reminds you to visit Motoringbadges.com often.

It’s been a little bit since we have done one of these, and we’re still working out a schedule. But we will be live via uStream.tv tonight. Check back around 7PM PST/9PM PST/10PM EST to listen!
db does his best Steve Jobs, Gabe learns about off the hook and Todd times us on Apple talk. Wow, all that in the first 5 minutes too.
Then, a few minutes talking about the weather and Gabe’s plans for the future. Oh yea, that’s all you get. You’ll have to listen for the rest.
(and be sure to leave a comment)

Starting with a bit of confusion. No, you didn’t hear an edit. Honest, we didn’t spend 20 minutes talking about warranty stuff and cut it out of tonights show. We really didn’t. But, if you tune in next week, there is a good chance we’ll be revisiting it.
AMVIV, or A MINI Vacation in Vegas or the event that Gabe won’t be attending. You should go over and make sure you are registered. By the way, Robert in Toronto and Michael Babischkin will both be there with us. Almost a full crew!
Gabe has news that he, again, is withholding. Maybe one of these days he’ll let us in on what it is. Otherwise, news of the week from Motoringfile.com.

Not so much with the MINIs tonight. Well, at little with the MINIs, but mostly about how MINI will be affected by SMART coming to the US. Personally, I’m not terribly interested in them, unless I can get the crazy looking one over there.
The video was already posted on MF. Click here if you missed it. It was part of a huge video Friday that you can revist here. And you must check out the Tata Nano from India. Only $2500 and we think it would self-destruct on impact.
AMVIV update…rooms are going fast. In fact, Tower Rooms are all booked, only Garden Room remain. Get yours while the getting is good! Also, just confirmed Robert in Toronto will be joining us this year at AMVIV! Someone will have to run him up to the snow to keep him from getting too home sick.

We are all back for our first real show of ‘08 with a long show getting caught up.
To start, for those of you having trouble with iTunes, I have no idea what the problem is. The only thing I can think is to try to subscribe manually instead. Of course, any tips or tricks that you might have for us and the WRR listeners would be greatly appreciated!
AMVIV is coming up sooner than you think. Click over and register and get your room if you are planning on staying at Palace Station. There you will also find the schedule of events and other things that are going on in Las Vegas that same weekend.
Keep an eye out for a live show schedule. We’ve got it down enough to actually be able to do it on a regular basis.
Finally, news of the week from Motoringfile. Yes, I’m pretty sure we did some of the news last week, but we pushed on regardless. And yes, we talked about a monkey powered MINI.
Check back tomorrow for some rousing opinions on the Smart car.

I’m noticing that some of you are going back through the archives to check out our MTTS coverage from 2006. Excellent! Makes me excited about what MINI might have in store for us for this year.
To make it easier for you to check out that coverage, I’ve gone back and installed the flash audio player on all of those posts, which you can find here.
Comments are still open on those posts as well, so feel free to leave any feedback or questions you might have. As long as you don’t ask about what’s going on in ‘08. We still only know as much as you and that is 4 events spread out across the US. But as soon as we know more, you’ll know. Well, more like as soon as we know you’ll know as soon as we are allowed to pass it along ;).
Gabe got the idea to record a little something right before New Years since he had Matt Gifford at his place. We spent about 1/2 hour talking about MINI stuff, including going through the top 10 Motoringfile stories of 2007. It was great fun and we think you’ll enjoy this show.
With the craziness of the holiday finally behind us, we will be back on track with regular shows getting posted at regular times. We are also going to be doing even more live shows and on a more regular schedule. Keep an eye on the sites for more information on that.
And, as I mentioned last night, the voice mail line no longer works. It was a use-it-or-lose-it thing. It didn’t get used so we lost it. Not to worry as I will be coming up with a new way for you to leave audio comments.
Finally, for your viewing pleasure, you can check out the Noodle Rocket.

Just Gabe and I tonight. Todd was watching his Jayhawks win the Orange Bowl! Before getting into it, db has finally figured out how to record and I think you will enjoy this show.
We pick on GP’s just a bit, but not really. Be sure to check out the new features of the site, especially the subscribe to comments via email. If you are hardcore and prefer to subscribe to comments via RSS, you can find the comments feed here.
Then, news of the week from Motoringfile.
Check back tomorrow for a fun show we did before New Years, joined by Matt Gifford. It was a great fun and I think you’ll really enjoy it! As a bonus, I will have that one ready for you earlier than normal, so keep an eye out here and in iTunes (or the Zune Marketplace) for that to show up.

It all started last week. Todd and I had the best of intentions and actually got together on our normal night to record it. It was going well until my Skype, yet again, started acting up. But I was also recording.
So, yea. For Woofcast 211 we are taking a mulligan. It wasn’t anything anyway, just a bit of filler.
Can I recommend a trip through the Archives? Perhaps go back and listen to such classics as Woof 21, Woof 64 or the new classic, Woof 199. Or, take advantage of this time to get caught up on the last few shows that you might have missed.
We have big plans for 2008! Coverage from AMVIV, The Dragon, MINI Takes the States and whatever else we can find. Plus, more live shows!
Thanks for stopping by, listening and sharing us with your friends! And thank you for your patience during the holidays with our spotty show schedule. We will be back on track before you know it!
