It’s the AMVIV crew once again, wandering though the Monday episode of the Woofcast where we talk about the weather, and Robert spanking us about it on one of his shows. Then, some time talking about events in general, including the Dragon. Of all of us, Michael is the only one that has gone to both and he helped us with some info about that.

Gina Koutros from MINIUSA took time away from getting ready for the New York Auto Show to give us some more detail on MINI Takes the States 2008!
We find out the reasoning behind selection Miami, Boston, Chicago and LA for this years event. Plus a sneak peak into the reasoning behind separate weekends. For those of you that missed it, there was a poll conducted late last year as to what type of event owners would like to see, and the four regional events won hands down!
Again, those dates for those of you that haven’t put it into your calendars yet.
- Miami: June 13-15
- Boston: June 20-22
- Chicago: July 25-27
- Los Angeles: August 1-3
Everyone is invited, even if they don’t own a MINI! Of course, there will be something special going on for owners only as well. Registration should be open around the 2nd week of April. Don’t worry, we’ll be sure to let you know when as soon as we know!

Event Update: MTTS

We could call this a general automotive show. Starting with some talking about St. Patrick’s day and on to our coffee of the day, since we recorded this on Saturday morning.
Moving on to the topic of the day. Navigation systems; in-car vs portable. All the information we could find, advantages of each, disadvantages of each and I’m pretty sure we disagreed on more than one item. This is a show I’m sure all y’all will enjoy!
Gabe will be leaving for holiday on Thursday, so we’ll be without him for 233 & 234, but we will have Robert Gold and Michael Babishkin to do news and a bit of AMVIV preshow. It should be a lot of fun! Maybe I can talk Todd into letting us go live. What do you think? You know what to do!

News of the week with db and Todd. Gabe? Oh, don’t worry about him. He’ll be with us tomorrow. I was, in fact, in the middle of dealing with the plague, so I aplogize now for any inordinate mouth breating.
But not tonight. Tonight it’s just Todd & db, hanging out, talking about old time Saturday morning cartoons, me having the plague and taking meds that don’t work, and briefly on the price of gas. All that before getting into news of the week from Motoringfile.com.
Oh yea, WRR should look a little better for you iPhone/iPod touch users. wr.tv will be next, but not until later in the week.

Almost an hour of us talking about the Clubman. Pro’s and cons, Clubman vs. Clubman S. Then, of course, we had to talk about the JCW MINI. These are our thoughts and we would appreciate yours!
So much for the general automotive ‘cast this week. With so much stuff going on, we decided to push it off until next week.
If you are still on the fence about AMVIV, Palace Station has 30 rooms left at a new rate. It’s not the same as the original rate, but better than the rack rate for the weekend. Get on it quickly if you want to book your room. They won’t last!
Keep an eye out as well for Whiteroof.tv, the newest site Under the White Roof.
