A bit of small car talk and history for you tonight. There was the Honda Civic, the CRX, and Chevy Sprint. Besides those, we cover a bit of history of the small cars in the US and how everyone seems to be switching back to the smaller cars.
Finishing up, we of course have to talk a little about MINIs and just how awesome our little car truly is. Finally, a few tire tips to help you get better mileage.

I totally mis-spoke. And, yes, Todd is smokin’ serious crack for thinking the Mach 5 looks like a ‘Vette. Gina Kutros from MINIUSA took 10 with us this week to update us on all of the details that were released about MTTS.
One thing you do want to do if you are planning on going is to register! It’s not necessary, but if you don’t register before the event, you won’t get the ever coveted goody bag. We are sure it’s going to be chock full of some great swag that you aren’t going to want to be without. Besides, the registration fees goes to a local charity for each location. Win win in our book!

Todd recently found this short bit of audio left from last year’s MINI United.
Recorded during dinner at ‘15′, it’s Rauno talking about his experience during the 1967 Monte Carlo Rally, which he won, in a Mini Cooper S. If you are missed our original interview with Rauno during MINI United, you will find it here.
If you are going to be participating in MINI Takes the States, there is a chance you could ask him questions about this yourself as he will be attending the Miami and Boston Events, plus making a 5 day rally between the two events!

Todd also got the chance to talk to Jack Belcher, SCMM member who has actually driven his MINI at the Bonneville Salt Flats and holds the record for a MINI through the traps! He will be running again later this year during Speed Week.

Moving on, Todd and I take the time to recap AMVIV. We realized that we were busier than we have been before and were amazed at the number of people we didn’t get to talk to.
