We gave you the chance to ask some questions, and Gina Koutros took almost 20 minutes with us earlier today to answer them.
Besides the questions, we also get some more information about the way the events were planned, hows and whys and all that.
There will be more updates coming a little later this week or early next. You can get updates automatically via email or subscribe via RSS. Of course, we will be posting those updates at Motoringfile.com as well.
And, finally, don’t forget to register if you plan on going! If you want the goodie bag, you are going to have to register!
And, keep up with WRR, MF and WR.tv for all of our coverage. Audio, video, photos and blog posts. So, if for whatever reason you can’t make it, we’ll have you covered!

Again with the re-runs? Yep, I am afraid so. Don’t worry, I picked a great show for you tonight. Woofcast #141. Worth a re-listen if only to hear Gabe attempt an intro. It’s truly awesome.
Don’t worry, we’ll be back next week just like you like. We only need a short break!
Woofcast #141 Show Notes
To start with, db just didn’t want to do the intro tonight. You benefit. Trust me.
Did you see this? Poor guy.
db is soooo close to 150K miles it’s not even funny.
Gabe’s NCAA picks, if you like that kind of thing.
If you get the chance, check out MINI2.co.za.
Longest MINI Convoy attempt if you like that kind of thing. Oh yea, you kinda have to be in the UK for it too. Todd thinks he’s already beat that number, but it wasn’t legit with the Guinness people.
Plus a little bit of news for the week.

Last week was Todd, this week was me. Sorry for the delay in getting the show into the feed!
I say it’s Woof 247, but really, it’s not. With MTTS right around the corner, and this being Memorial Day weekend in the US, we decided to take the week off. Not to worry, I pulled a couple of great shows out of the archives for you. Tonight, let’s go back to 06/05/06 for Woof 66 where we learn, among other things, that Gabe can’t whistle. Full notes below.
We will be back next week to get warmed up for MTTS, plus we have another interview scheduled with Gina Koutrous from MINIUSA that will be going up later this week or the first part of next.
Woofcast 66
Server issues…geek stuff…blah blah blah…geek stuff…blah blah blah. Anyway, there were issues most of yesterday that didn’t get corrected until early this morning.
We do actually cover the news of the week and then some, but first…
Gabe can’t whistle? But he can snap like a MoFo! db rants on traffic and waking up early. Todd has nothin’ but a pair of fuzzy slippers and a robe and some cool special effects. Oh yea, Gabe drops a joke bomb.
Then we cover news of the week. Want to see what made db giggle? Check it. Oh yea, don’t forget to check out the Stracco interview if you haven’t already.

Yes, you heard me correctly. This was take 2. The live audience actually got to listen to us record this episode, in full length, twice. It worked out because it turned out to be a better show.
Tonight we spend some time talking about Hypermiling. Links? Oh, you betcha.
There is the Hypermiling.com site. My suggestions and techniques came from this page.
And there is this article at Edmunds which has a few more extreme examples. Todd was working from this.
Even more good techniques can be found here too. The things we do to save gas.
Of course, you could always use public transportation, ride a bike or walk. But where’s the challenge there?
If you are going to do your own math to compute your MPG, here is the math again, in case you missed it.
Total miles driven / total gallons used = MPG

db and Todd cover news of the week without Gabe. There wasn’t that much news anyway, so it worked out.

To start, get used to hearing the reminder about MTTS, coming up in just a few weeks! Don’t forget to register.
Also, keep your eyes peeled for a new badge from Motoringbadges.com. The ‘I’m the Stig’ badge is very cool and it’s the next one coming!
So, live again tonight, sans Gabe. So Todd and I spent some time talking about electric cars. Here are the links. Autoblog Green, Wired.com, Wired again, and Tesla Motors.

Live again, audio only since I wasn’t wearing pants. Also, we got Gabe for tonight, but he was to wiped out to keep going, so tomorrow it’s just Todd and myself.
If you haven’t yet, don’t forget to register for MTTS! Remember, if you don’t register you won’t get the free bag of swag! And, if you are going to LA, come by and look us up. We will be celebrating our 3rd anniversary!
To those of you that have offered to run the WRR myspace page, I will be getting back to you later this week. Thanks!
Finishing off with news of the week.

Sure the price of gas is going through the roof with no relief in site. But, if you are really a MINI person, trust me when I say this is an event you are not going to want to miss!
If MTTS this year is half as cool as MINI United was last year, it’s going to be awesome! Check out the MTTS site to get the lowdown on all of the events that will be going on. Don’t forget to subscribe via RSS or email to get those updates as they happen! Of course, the games and activities are cool to be sure, but the real reason you’re going is for the MINIs and the people. If you have never experienced a large scale MINI event, you will be in for a treat!
Heck, you don’t even need to own a MINI to go!
Two years ago, MINI Takes the States motored coast-to-coast with thousands of MINI Owners and enthusiasts joining up for a legendary motoring extravaganza. This year, though, everyone hoped even more folks could get in on the fun. So MINI owners voted to visit four U.S. cities for four separate weekends of good times, including the chance to drive a MINI on an aggressive autocross course.
You’ll even get some seat time at each event to see what all the hub-bub is about.
So pick one that is close to you, do the math, register and start saving your pennies! C’mon, you can skip a few lattes for this gang, really. Remember, if you don’t register you won’t get the cool bag of swag!
Since there are 4 events, nobody expects you to go to all four. That’s our job! Complete coverage from all 4 locations as well as the Rally with Rauno Aaltonen from Boston to Miami. We’ll have audio and video coverage, as well as blog posts and photos.
Another from our live outing last Saturday. Before getting into talking about MPG and the JCW MINI we had a little Cinco de Mayo Celebration. It was fun if you missed it.
If you did miss the live outing because I forgot to post it the day before, you could always follow me on Twitter. I post that kind of thing there all the time.
Also, some requests out the WRR Audience. Looking for someone to run the WRR MySpace Page and, if you fancy yourself a writer and would like to write a review of a product that you have used to share with the MF audience, let us know.
MTTS is right around the corner! We’ll be bringing you full coverage from all of the events as well as the road trip from Miami to Boston! And, WRR turns 3 during the LA stop, so if you are around, come find us to help celebrate!

Another live show. Yes, that’s two in a row. If you missed it, don’t worry. We recorded this one Saturday morning instead of Thursday night. Don’t worry, we’ve got this down fairly well (even did video this last time) so there is a better than average chance that we will be doing it more often.
This one, news of the week as usual from Motoringfile.com. Something we brought up in conjuction with the server move is comment moderation. If you leave a comment and it doesn’t show up for about an hour or so, use the contact form over at MF and someone will fish it out for you. Sometimes the spam queue gets a bit rambuctious.
And, things might look a bit strange over at WRR for a few days. It did NOT affect any of the shows, just the appearance of the site. Don’t worry, normal service shall resume shortly.
