The JCW Show! We talk about the Factory JCW, the JCW Challenge Car and I give my thoughts on the R53 vs R56.
See that R/C car up there? Ridemakerz are only making a limited number of them, and they will only be available at the last 2 MTTS events!
Speaking of limited number, Todd is also selling a very limited edition Motoringbadge that is also only available on-site at MTTS. If you want one, you’d better find him early ’cause they go quick!

For those of you that got episode 220 in your reader/iTunes, here it is, corrected.
News of the week from Motoringfile.com, but since it was mostly MTTS related, we recapped the week instead.
We had a great week and you’ve seen most of it. To recap, we posted over 700 photos, over an hour of video and almost 2 hour of audio! Thanks everyone for checking it out or coming by to say during the event. It was great to meet you all!
Planning to attend Chicago or LA? Don’t forget to register. They also posted quite a few updates during Miami and Boston that you can see here.
Check back tomorrow for the JCW show. You aren’t going to want to miss it!

Here it is, all of the audio from MTTS 2008. Listen in as we start in Miami and work our way north to Boston. With many interviews along the way.
Some of you have asked about the MINI we drove. We had an Astro Black R56 S with body colored roof, sunroof and automatic transmission. Yes, we know we are Whiteroofradio. I think someone at MINI USA was having a little bit of fun with us.
This is the last of the audio and there is quite a bit of it. I still have more coming in the shape of video and photos, so you can watch for those later today.
And, if you are wanting to go to either of the remaining MTTS events (like I know you are), be sure to take a minute and register. You can subscribe while you are there and get all of the updates MINIUSA was posting as well.

Reprinted from Motoringfile to get it into the feed.
Exclusive! The Factory JCW will be getting the burble exhaust sound back as was on late R53 models. This is great news and you can see and hear for yourself at your local dealer starting July 14.
If you have the chance to test drive the MINI JCW you must take the opportunity but if you are a fan of the JCW you better get your order in now. Starting July 14 MINI will begin delivering the MINI JCW to U.S. dealers for some eager early adopters. The MINI JCW will be making appearances at the remaining MTTS events in Chicago and LA in late July and early August.
In Savannah, GA and Charleston, SC, talking to MINI Owners including our friend Murray who we actually convinced to join us at one more MTTS event!
Oh yea, and Tony the Peanut Man! Awe. Some. If you don’t know you’d better ax somebody!
The journey continues onward to Boston. Watch for more stuff coming.

We’ve been talking to Rauno everyday this week and getting some great stories from him! This is our actually interview with him from MTTS Miami.
Little did Rauno know, but Todd kept the recorder running a little longer than the actual interview, so we also got him talking about traction and how it applies to the MINI. He is brilliant!
Enjoy.
By the way, you have registered, right? If you are planning to attend MTTS Boston, Chicago or LA, make sure you do that now!

Todd and I at MTTS Miami on Saturday! We get a chance to talk to quite a few people and interview Michelle Branch!
So far so good. Our internet connectivity has been lacking this week, which is why the delay.
We have even more audio coming, including some time with Rauno Aaltonen that you are going to love!

We are all here and to start you off, we went to Bicentennial Park to hang out with about 300 MINI and Mini owners who were treated to a Movie by MINIUSA and MINIs of Miami.
We are off to get Day 2 started! Until I get a chance to get them organized and posted, you can view the photos on my Flickr stream. You can get a sneak peak at the videos here as well.
There will be more later! Plus, we will be making an attempt and doing something live from Homestead! Keep an eye on my Twitter for updates.

Can you believe this actually starts this week? Here at WRR we are getting pretty excited as you can imagine. Hopefully we’ll be able to share most of that excitement with you as well!
Before going further, do make sure you have registered for the MTTS event you are going to be attending. Besides saving $10, you will get a bag of swag for sure and the proceedes go to local charities. Win-win in my book!
Now, to keep up with all of the action.
- All photos will be on my Flickr, in the MTTS 2008 Flickr group and on Todd’s Flickr
- All videos will be posted to Whiteroof.tv for download and Vidder to watch
- Updates, as they happen, will come from Twitter, including when we broadcast live via uStream.tv
- All audio will, of course, be up on WRR for download with a player on Motoringfile.com.
To make things easier, I have set up a special RSS feed (actually it’s ATOM, but it will work in any reader) that will aggregate Twitter, Flickr, WRR and WR.tv. You can subscribe to that here.
I have already posted our possible live schedule here in case you missed it. Keep in mind that this is very tentative and is very much subject to change. This is where twitter will come in handy to keep up-to-date should things change.
Stay tuned! things are just getting warmed up!
The server that hosts WRR has been a bit unstable this week as I’m sure you have noticed. Yesterday there was a hard drive problem that took about 16 hour to repair and this morning the server had to go through at least 1 reboot to correct a problem with the database server.
For now it would appear, normal service has resumed.
MTTS updates and details to follow shortly!
