For those of you that thought we were going to be live, all apologies. We had a bit of a scheduling conflict. Before that, I choked on the intro and Todd and I both realize that we are getting old after realizing that our good friend The Future Queen of Nebraska (Happy Birthday Tori!) was born the year we graduated highschool.
Gabe was at the Chicago Auto Show so not able to be with us, but we carried on without him with news of the week from Motoringfile.
Then some auto industry talk and bit more on the throttle body freezing issue. Todd dug into this a little deeper and has a very good explanation as to what is happening. From what we understand, this is only affecting the MCS and Clubman S (and some Volkswagens). We explain what is happening and what they are trying to possibly fix it. If this is a problem that you are having with your MINI, be sure to get it into the dealer to have it looked at.
We will try for live again this week. Keep an eye out for a post Wednesday or Thursday morning on the sites for details. No details, no live show.

For those that aren’t subscribed to the email list (you can subscribe here), here is the latest AMVIV 09 update from Grandmaster Agro.
For those of you that are concerned about the Station Casinos, please be sure to pay very close attention to the first paragraph.
I was just cruising through the attendee list and see that Canada will be representin’ big time, as will the PDX area. Of course, White Roof Radio will be there too.
Hi everyone. I’ve had a few worried emails from people concerned about Station Casinos bankruptcy talks. I just got off the phone with Connie at Palace and she assures me that this is no problem for us. Palace Station will be operating exactly as in prior years for AMVIV and we have nothing to worry about on that front.
On a different but still Palace related note, I convinced her to extend the group rate on the hotel by another week and a half. Our pickup is lower than in past years, so they are willing to work with us to get you the best rate we can. I know that people are concerned about finances and such, but this is a cheap Vegas weekend, especially if you can mostly stay away from the machines and tables.
Big show for you this week. Before we get started, be sure to check out the most recent Event Cast in case you missed it.
On to news from Motoringfile.com and Gabe joined in late. BTW, MF and BimmerFile scooped everyone on the Chris Bangle story. Listen as Gabe swoons over the work that he did while at BMW/MINI.
Moving on to throttle body sticking in cold weather. Gabe is pretty sure he has the fix, but you will have to listen to find out what it is.
Don’t forget the voicemail line! 202-206-3252 should already be programmed into your phones. Call anytime, it’s always open.
If you missed it, MotoringFile has a brand new Facebook page. A new one for WRR is in the works and will be ready soon. Watch this space for updates!

After it’s nearly 3 year hiatus, the WRR Event Cast is back! Michael and I cover all of the events that are coming up.
If you have an event you would like us to cover, send it in! You can also call the WRR Hotline at (206) 202-3252 and leave a message. If you mention The World Famous White Roof Radio in your message, we will play it on the show.

First thing I would like to do is thank everyone for getting us to 60 reviews on iTunes before AMVIV! You guys are awesome, and there is time to spare. Do I hear 70?
And, for those of you that are curious (and because I just can’t help myself), for the year that was 2008…
- Almost 110k of you visited whiteroofradio.com almost 300K times
- We pushed 1.2 TeraBytes of show out. That’s 1200GB
- You downloaded 384K episodes!
- Woofcast 30, 36 & 119 were all downloaded almost 11K times each
Sure, that’s not the greatest traffic or huge numbers for a podcast by any means, but I am more than a little pleased!
Thanks and keep it up!
Watch later in the week for a brand new event cast! That’s right, Michael and I revivied it and and new one will be out this week!
All four of us actually together all at the same time talking about MINI stuff like we like to do.
Before going any further, I would like to take the opportunity to remind you that both Todd and myself will be at AMVIV this year and you should be too. If you missed the news, Palace Station has extended the group rate so you can sign up a little later. Don’t wait until the last minute however.
Also, thanks to everyone for sending in those events! Michael and I will be recording a new Event Cast this week and I hope to have it up by the weekend.
Finally, news of the week from MotoringFile. Including Gabe’s take on a few stories we covered last week plus we all give our take on the new JCW body kit and the JCW car in general.
If you missed it, MotoringFile has a brand new Facebook page. A new one for WRR is in the works and will be ready soon. Watch this space for updates!
