We have a very special White Roof Radio for you today. Joining Todd and myself today are Jenny Vergara from Makingafoodie.com and Patricia B from The Mail Buoy Podcast talking about food for you like we like to do.
We do the latest food and restaurant news and share a few recipes and tips with you. Links below.
Apologies for my audio quality. It was probably all of the egg talk.
You can find Patricia’s Marshmellow Recipe here. A fine Grilled Pizza recipe here and one of my favorite salad dressing recipes here.

Another AMVIV is on the books. From what I could tell, everyone had a great time! The highlight of the weekend was a little something we called White Roof Radio Live. I’m going to have a short version for you later in the week but wanted to share with you the intro now.
To be honest, we ran super long during Woof 329, so this is the 2nd half of that show. So, you get to hear me explain to everyone why we hate the automatic transmission and some Ask Chad in which Chad goes crazy talking about engine additives, espeically SeaFoam. Tune in to see what he thinks. Oh, and I got Michael to talk smack about his VW.
AMVIV starts this week! Follow along at home unless you are going to be there. The WRR Twitter will be working like mad starting Wednesday. And maybe follow Mr. Cone too, since he is the official mascot of A MINI Vacation in Vegas.
If you are going to AMVIV, please stop by and say hi to the WRR boys ok. We’d love to see you, and since you never call anymore, we worry.
The next time we meet will be in Vegas baby! Is it AMVIV yet?

Want to know how you can save at least $200? Possibly more? It’s so easy, even db can do it!
Change your own spark plugs!
Total cost was about $45 from Detroit Tuned (but the price is the same at all of the other MINI Vendors too, we’re just partial to Chad. Next time you are at the dealer, I dare you to find out how much this job would cost.
Then, come back later to thank us.
Woofcast 330 will be up later tonight, then it’s off to AMVIV baby! Be sure to play along with the home game if you aren’t going via Twitter, Facebook and YouTube. Plus here and MotoringFile as usual. If you are going to Vegas, we will be seriously disappointed if you don’t come by the Motoringbadges table and say hello.
Seriously.

Tons of show for you tonight! Todd, Chad and I are again joined by Michael from The Mail Buoy Podcast with a whole bunch of MINI stuff for you, and maybe a little bit of Toyota stuff.
AMVIV. Do I need to say more? And, if you want Chad to bring you anything from Detroit Tuned, you might want to hit him up this week.
Thanks to everyone that stopped by MINI of Ontario for their grand opening. It was great to see all of you. While I was there, I had them do some work on my MINI and talk about it tonight. Worth a listen.

For those of you that aren’t subscribed to the AMVIV Mailing List (which you really should be), Agro sent out another update today. Friendly reminders and a change to the Strip Cruise.
Read on!
Hi everyone.
As promised, here is a list of suggested things you might want to bring to AMVIV this year. It’s not an exhaustive list, so make sure you pack anything else you think you might need.
Live from MINI of Ontario for their huge grand opening party. We talk news from Motoringfile and R60 with Jim McDowell.
Thanks to everyone that came by to join us. For those of you that missed it, next time you are nearby definitely make sure to stop by and check out the largest MINI Cooper Dealership in California. And, be sure to tell them that White Roof Radio sent you!
I even uploaded a couple of videos to the WRR YouTube Channel that you can go over and check out. And, no. We did not write the Mayor of Ontario’s jokes. Really!

All y’all know Todd and I are going to be hanging out at MINI of Ontario for thier huge grand opening bash already, right? Food, fun, cool prizes and a chance to check out the newest MINI dealership in SoCal and meet the people behind the magic. You keep hearing me go on and on about this place, come on down and see for yourself just how awesome they are!
We also might have mentioned that we wanted to have a bit of a listener only party after the event. Let this serve as your official notice of said event!
Since Todd is flying all the way from KC (where, oddly enough, the weather will be better), we’re putting him in the swankest hotel in the IE; The Aloft. Everything that I’m seeing and reading says this place is all that and a bag of chips. How about you, me, Todd and as many MINI Owners as possible come down and see how they handle the crowd? We even have a small budget for this shindig for food and non-adult style beverages.
Here are the details:

The Aloft Hotel 10480 Fourth Street Rancho Cucamonga, California 91730
Let’s say 6:30/7:00PM-ish? In the hotel bar? If we outgrow this place, I’m sure we’ll be able to find someplace equally cool to hang out.
It’s going to a lot of fun and it’s also a great way to warm up for AMVIV happening in just a few short weeks!

Lots of news this week from MotoringFile and we go into quite a bit of detail about most of it.
Oh yea, a little more information about MTTS. It’s going to be fantastic this year and we believe it’s an event you are definitely going to want to add to your calendar.
The Ask Chad Mailbox is all cleared out and ready for your questions! Send those over to askchad@whiteroofradio.com to get it into the queue.
Finally, MINI of Ontario is having their grand opening party this coming Saturday! Todd and I will both be there hosting the party and will follow it up with a White Roof Radio Listener meetup. There will be details by Thursday here, on Facebook and on Twitter.

Hanging out at MINI of Ontario yesterday and talking to the service manager who tells me that he has had 4 cars, recently, with engines that were in need of replacement due to oil starvation, including an MCS with less than 15k miles on the clock.
Haven’t we talked about that?
Next time you fuel your MINI, take the 30 seconds to check your oil. Remind everyone at the next club meeting you go to. Start a thread on a message board. Something. There is no reason for you to lose your engine because it ran out of oil!
If you forgot how to check your oil, or aren’t terribly sure about the procedure, check out the video above to set your straight. If you are low, head to your local MINI Cooper dealer’s parts counter and they will sell you all you need. No dealer nearby? Your local parts house sells Castro Synthetic which works in a pinch. Or punch up your favorite MINI Cooper after-market shop like OutMotoring.com, Detroit Tuned, Minimania.com or Moss MINI to get it as well.
This is turning into an epidemic of epidemic proportions gang for something that is easily corrected with a minute of time and a couple of quarts of $5 oil.
