A little bit of news from Motoringfile.com like we like to do and a fresh batch of Ask Chad. Some how we also ended up talking about NASCAR for a minute or two. Plus, like you will hear, a brand new sponsor under the White Roof.
Speaking of which, MINI of Allentown is open now and will be having their grand opening celebration on August 28th. The invited Todd and I for the party and we hope to see as many of you as we possibly can! Not only that, but Todd is going to be striping MINIs on the 29th (don’t ask, he filled all the slots) and Prime MINIster Joe twisted my arm enough to stay an extra day!
Before all of that is MTTS. Not sure about the rest of you, but we here at White Roof Radio are very excited! I’ll be posting more details about our upcoming coverage of the event soon, so stay tuned!

Going on MTTS? Looking for something to get you even more excited about it while you wait for Woofcast 346? Have an iPhone/iPad/Android device and can’t access the MTTS website? Well Ladies and Gents, We’ve got you covered.
I have set up a page for MTTS Updates that is mobile friendly! It’s the same pages from the MTTS site, so when they update them there, they will update here as well. Go ahead, check it out. NOTE You will have to switch the mobile theme off for the page to display correctly. Once you do that, it should show up on your mobile device.
A few more pre-MTTS notes for you. If you are using an iPhone, open the app store and download the MINI Link app. If you are using any smart phone, now would be a good time to embrace Twitter. Once you do that, you can follow all of the WRR boys here. You can also get updates for MTTS from MINI USA by following @MTTS2010, @MTTS2010_east (if you are coming in from east of the Rockies) or @MTTS2010_west if you are coming in from west of the Rockies.
Woofcast 346 will be ready later today.
Part 2 from Woofcast 344. We were live for this one, and this is the Ask Chad portion of the show.
Woofcast 346 is in the can and will be posted tomorrow night as usual. So, you folks get bonus goodness from WRR this week.
A quick note to our affliates; White Roof Radio will be running on a different schedule starting August 9th and continuing through until August 15th. Full details to follow this week.

This week on an all new White Roof Radio, db wears both hats, Chad answers some questions and Michael drives a VW! Like we mention, Todd and Gabe weren’t available, so we soldiered on without them. Also helps to explain why my sound level is quite right. Not that big of a deal since all y’all tune in for the other guys instead.
Looking for part 2 of Woofcast 344? Check back Wednesday. No, really. Todd just got back from Vegas and needs a few days in an ice house to correct his body temperature.
Great Ask Chad questions this week too! If you have a question you would like our good man Chad to answer, shoot it over via email to askchad@whiteroofradio.com and we’ll get it answered.
Quick note to our affliates; White Roof Radio will be running on a modified schedule during MTTS. If you aren’t going, stay tuned in because we are planning some great coverage for you daily. Again, this will be happening during MTTS which is, oddly enough, starting a week after White Roof Radio turns 5! More on that later.

With less than a month to go, our friend Gina Koutros from MINIUSA took some time from her hectic schedule to give us some updates about MINI Takes the States, which is shaping up to be the largest MTTS to date!
If you haven’t decided if you are going yet, don’t forget there will be a Countryman (R60) at each of the kick-off cities driving to Denver. If you wanted to see this MINI in person, now is the time to do it!
Once in Denver, besides all of the regular festival fun and games, there will be the MTTS Music Stage featuring local talent during the day, headlined by Blues Traveller! For those of you that caught them in ’08 during the Chicago leg of MTTS you remember what a great show they put on.
Finally, do not forget that MINIs in the Mountains has some cool stuff planned for us as well! And to make sure that you get all of the cool stuff available, you do want to register! It’s for a great cause and ensures that your goodie bag is waiting for you when you arrive. If you are planning on attending both events, make sure to get over to the MitM website and get registered.
If you aren’t able to attend any of the legs or the festivals in Denver and Winterpark, don’t sweat. White Roof Radio has your covered! We will be updating Twitter as we go, plus posting to the White Roof Radio Facebook page. If you want to make sure you are getting the good information, then you should also follow @MTTS2010 on Twitter too!

Dear valued White Roof Radio listener,
It would appear that we, as a group, have not being diligent enough in keeping an eye on the vital fluids that our MINIs require to be happy and healthy. Proof above from Eric Hall, MINI Service Manager for MINI of Ontario. As a reminder, here is a handy how-to video that should help you out.
You R56 owners can find the Yellow Loopy Thing, sans loop, on the passenger side, under the bonnet. It is still yellow and the procedure is still the same.
Next time you are spending time with other MINI Cooper owners, help spread the word. Before beginning the rally or sitting down for the meeting, gather everyone in the parking lot for an oil checking party! Fun for the whole family!
We at White Roof Radio truly care about your MINI and want you and your MINI to have many miles of happy, healthy motoring. So please, take a minute or 3 this week while you are getting fuel to pop the bonnet and check your oil. If you are low, head over to your nearest MINI dealer and the nice person at the parts desk will happily sell you a quart or two. No MINI dealer nearby, then punch up Detoit Tuned and Chad will get you sorted our in short order.
As usual, thank you for your time,
xoxo
The boys at White Roof Radio
We missed a week and came back with a live show! If you missed it, you really should follow any of us on Twitter or like the WRR Facebook Fan page. If you would rather find out in other ways, sound off in the comments below and I will see about hookin’ you guys and gals up!
Ok, once the cake and drink segment of the show was out of the way, we got into news from Motoringfile.com like we like today. Big news from last week was the ’11 refresh and it capitalized the conversation.
We went long this week. You know we must have since the, part 1, is almost an hour long. Part 2 will be available later in the week (like Wednesday or Thursday).
Are you a Flickr user? The Official MTTS 2010 Group has been started. Go on a join up and get it out of the way!

With the holiday and all, we decided to take the week off. We are proud to present to you, the fine White Roof Radio audience, a little something from the archives in the shape of Woofcast 255. Regular service shall resume next week.
A bit of random chat before we get started, talking about tires and brakes. We are looking for those among us that have experienced tire pressure loss in run flats after sitting for a week or more. Todd’s MINI had 4 flat tires after MTTS and it just sat. Since he boosted them, he hasn’t experienced any loss at all.
Watch for us to get guys from Continental on the show soon. We had some great discussions with them at MTTS.
But not this week. For this week, it’s news of the week from Motoringfile.com.
Don’t forget to register for MTTS if you are going. At the very least, you check out the updates that were posted during the first 2.
If you are looking for the brake tool at Harbor Freight, you can find it here. I don’t know if it works, but for $4.00, it might be worth trying. They also have an air-powered unit that you can find here, if that’s how you roll.
Check back tomorrow when we talk about the cool fuel-saving features that we don’t get in the US.

I keep telling you that MINI of Ontario is pretty cool, right? Here is yet another reason why.
They have a WC-50 MINI on the showroom floor right now! To help celebrate that car and possibly hold a silent auction, they invited a bunch of MINI owners out for a round of miniature golf! Held at the Scandia Amusement Center directly across the freeway, we started off shotgun style, playing 17 holes of volcanos, castles and swinging things. The 18th hole, of course, is reserved for that special hole that wins you a free game!
It was a great way to spend a brilliant Southern California morning. Once we finished, we motored back over to MINI of Ontario where they had a full food spread setup for us on the giant covered patio/service drive. The air hockey table was fired up and could be heard over the sound of vuvuzela’s from the World Cup match playing on the big screen LCD TV that hangs outside!
Once lunch started, it was my turn to be put to work by calling out winners for raffle prizes. Car care products and MINI swag were given away as well as some cool gift cards for the winners of the golf tournament! The only thing left was the silent auction for the WC-50.
About that; there were a few bidders on that MINI, but none of them showed. You know what that means, right? Yes boys and girls, MINI of Ontario still has a WC-50 for sale! If you are looking for the most unique and rare of all MINI Coopers, this is the car for you. Hand painted using a two step process, special leather interior and all of the John Cooper Works goodies you like (including the go fast engine parts) and individually numbered make this MINI very special. More so than Todd’s beloved GP if you can believe that! If you are one that just has this car in your driveway and your local dealer doesn’t have one, give them a call at (888) 743-4041 and talk to sales manager Dan. Hurry! It won’t last long!
Thanks again to MINI of Ontario for putting on such a great event! These guys do it right!
