Update…We are done and are pleased with the results. For those of you that came by to check us out, thanks! I’m sure this is something we will do in the future.
In the past we have used uStream.tv for our live shows with the comments are Motoringfile. While that worked kinda ok, it wasn’t the best solution. We are hoping that Talkshoe will better suit our needs, even tho the audio quality isn’t quite as good and there isn’t video.
To listen along at home, just follow the links to our page on TalkShoe and click Listen Now. No need to sign up or anything. However, if you want to join us in the chat room or possibly have the chance to call in, you will need a free account. It only takes a minute and I think the added benefits are definitely worth it!

So, we picked up our new baby complete with many JCW add-ons including the JCW leather/Alcantara steering wheel that we heard about on whiteroofradio podcast and read about on MotoringFile. MyMini added the finishing touches that truly made our Mini unique. We also got the iPod adapter in the car and the first thing we listened to was of course a whiteroofradio podcast followed by Gordon Lightfoot’s “The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald†they sounded great on the Harman Kardon stereo system.

For the occasion, the entire WRR team will be on that night. Myself, Todd and Gabe as usual, plus Michael and Robert! It should be a lot of fun!
I will be setting up a live audio chat room that will hold up to 100 listeners for this event! It’s going to be first come, first served.
If you are interested in listening in as we do this, you will need a program called Skype (www.skype.com) and a way to listen. The download is free and it is available for Windows, Mac and Linux.
You don’t even need a microphone for this. Just a set of headphones or speakers to listen in. This will primarily be listen only (since it’s our first time) but if you have a microphone, I have a few ideas for some fun stuff.
If you are interested in listening in, download and install Skype by following the link above. Then, check back next Thursday at 6:00PM PST (02:00 GMT I believe) for details on how to get connected so you can join us.
It should be a lot of fun! If this is something that works well, we might use it more in the future.
