Woofcast #293

Posted in Episodes — by db on 04/20/09

fail-owned-spoiler-fail3We’re back talking about weather, for those of you that might have missed that.

Of course we talk about the news from Motoringfile. And we talk about what happened to Woofcast 291. And some information about a few events you might have heard of including The Dragon, MINs in the Mountains and a little event happening in England.

I am looking for tips, tricks or any information you might have concerning my upcoming suspension rebuild. I’ve picked the Alta Rear Sway Bar, Koni Shocks and Eibach Springs (since I already have them). I will probably be replacing the front ball joints myself as well. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Hey just FYI at autozone you can rent a spring compressor free (well you leave a deposit and get it back when you return it) thats what i did.

Todd…regarding the R56 brake wear, just had mine replaced under warranty/service at 28K, front and rear, although it was the rear that triggered the warning light. I’d say I’m a moderate driver, not too hard on the brakes but I do live in SoCal, lots of stop and go traffic which db will attest too.

The speedster pics over on Auto Express have a 5 lug pattern, too.

Just had my 07 R56 rear brakes replaced under warranty at 45k miles. Fronts will be replaced at the scheduled maintenance.
