**UPDATE** – Corrected links. Apologies for this showing in your feed twice.

I still don’t think the diesel is coming and other news from [MotoringFile.com](http://www.motoringfile.com) start us out this week. All of the news that is fit for us to talk about it. A little Ask Chad/Todd about graphics you will find useful. Alex recaps his trip to California and I talk a little more about the R56 heretofore known as [Bruce](http://dbmini.us/whats-in-a-name/).

Don’t forget any of the fine sponsors for your Valentine. Might I recommend [a smart phone holder](http://www.cravenspeed.com/smart-phone-mounts/) from Craven Speed (aka the ‘Squeezy Thing’) or perhaps some [fine motoring gear](http://www.outmotoring.com/mini-cooper-accessories/mini_cooper_motoring_gear_driver_gear/) from Outmotoring.com? Trust me, this stuff is Valentines Day gold friends.

Finally, we are getting closer to our goal of $100 per episode at [Patreon](http://www.patreon.com/whiteroofradio). We really appreciate the support! I’m going to have rewards for those that have already contributed very soon along with rewards for future Paton’s. Remember, when we hit $100, Todd is going to make it rain! Rain butter, baby!

  1. Whole heartedly agree on the wheels discussion.

I traded up from the 16″ bridge spokes to the Web Spokes on my Cooper D. Then opted for bullets as my second set, both looked amazing! I did get the web spokes powder coated black with a silver lip though!

  2. Very nice Phil. I’m totally rethinking my wheel choices and the use of eBay to find something I can work with in my budget. Really like the idea of stick with an OE wheel. #becauseTodd

  3. Yes! — you guys named all my favorite MINI OEM wheels, and I have 3 of them! Web spoke in silver (R56S), bullet spoke in silver, and black star bullet for the R52S (winter/summer wheels).

+1 on going with eBay, db. I got the black star bullets for $500 for a set last summer from Factory Wheel Warehouse on eBay. Extremely happy with the wheels, packaging, and shipping — and the price!

And I agree with Todd’s opinion about going with OEM wheels. Aftermarket wheels don’t look right to me on a MINI. Can’t say why.

  4. Hi Todd, I’d love the Gen1 aero kit part number you mentioned. I tried you via the toddsmods.com contact form, but the submit error-ed out. Thanks!
