Starting off with a plea from Gabe for a set of wheels for winter. As it turns out, he is not a fan of the Crown Spokes. Anything you can do to help would be greatly appreciated! And Todd is looking for a drivers side parcel shelf. Anyone willing to help out leave a note below.
Then, Todd tells a horror story concerning the ‘widow makers’. Oh no, you’ll have to listen to find out what he means. I can say that winter roads can, possibly, cause some embarrassment, not to mention serious car damage. Lessons to live by people.
Gabe didn’t really take 24 hours to build a clubman. That’s the magic of the internets right there! Long live the tubes!
Not quite 175K miles, but I’ll be there by the end of the week. Watch the Flickr for when it does happen.
We finally get around to talking about The Motoringfile Gift Guide and what we would like to have off of it.
R50/R53 owners looking for some cool accessories might want to put a call into the parts desk. There are some smokin’ hot deals to be had. Check it out.
Yes I did, in fact, buy skinyourfridge.com. Watch for it!
And, finally, add another classic TV show theme song to our repertoire, and Gabe doesn’t know about the Rockford Files! Someone back us up here.

Hey guys, just got to say that, in certain cases, the door handles and UJ rearview mirror cover look pretty good (Of course I may be biased, lol)
(I hope the pics work!)

I’m with DB. I thought the iPod adaptor worked on any head unit with a CD changer port. Now, the AUX input only works on 04 and later head units because the earlier models didn’t have that port.
I don’t know if any of that is true – just what I heard.
Also, KEEP DOING THE GIFT GUIDE!!! It’s tradition.

Gabe,
I have a late ’06 with the larger lugs and JCW brakes. All of the early wheels fit with the new larger lugs. I am running 2005 S lites right now, and my wife’s late ’06 cooper (also 14mm lugs) is running holies from 2004 or 2005 with no issues.

Gabe, didn’t you have hubcaps on your JCW 18′s?
December 12th, 2007 at 7:04 am
Well of course they’re not hubcaps but yes, they had covers. And yes, I sold them.

Caps that cover the hub and lug nuts? Wheel covers… now that is a different story… Ew.

DB, how is your Cooper holding up at that mileage?

Pretty good. 176K so far. I still have to replace the belt tensioner and work on the suspension, but otherwise I would have to say she is as good now as when I brought her home!
