As mentioned a bazillion times already, Gabe went to the BMW Press Event in Monterey, California, last week. And this is his story, plus our questions.
A note to our affliates, this show does go long. Weighing in at an impressive 55:55, we let Gabe cover his entire week, pretty much start to finish. I think you’ll be surprised about his take on the automatic transmission in the Clubman, and his thoughts, overall, on the //M3.
Be sure to check back to WRR tomorrow. Robert in Toronto stopped by the Toronto Auto Show and snagged a bit of video of the Clubman in the MINI Booth!
We have also been tossing around a few ideas this week that we will be discussing on next weeks show. Listen up! We will, as always, be looking for your feedback.

I enjoyed hearing about the intros, and I enjoyed reading the reviews, but I am really disappointed there was not a more thorough review of the 128. Its no surprise that an auto tranny convertible was not going to be be as fun as a 135 hardtop, but I really wish there was more feedback/info on the 128 optioned out with a performance consideration. I know they probably did not have one there with a sports package, or Gabe just did not have time to try it. Oh well - I’ll watch BF for a review sometime in the future.

Great show as always. Gabe - don’t let them rag you… I have an 11 month old son and I drive a 2006 R53JCW, and my wife drives an 06 R50. We bought a Renault Scenic when my son arrived, but the Renault lives in the garage. Only gets used for holidays.
