News and everything else that’s fit to print from MotoringFile including some updates about a few of our favorite MINI things going on right now. Add to that the last of the interviews that Todd did in Detoit with some of the nice lads from MINI and MINIUSA.
As an added bonus, I’m told there will be a part 2 this week which will be nothing but Ask Chad! Stay tuned!
Mad delays in bringing you this weeks show. A whole bunch of news from MotoringFile is part of the catch up. So much news that we have both Gabe and Nathaniel join in tonight. We talk about all of the news that we missed last week while we were at Otto’s MINI.
Normal service, including Ask Chad shall resume next week!
Last Friday, Todd and I were invited to check out one of the latest MINI Cooper dealers on the East Coast; Otto’s MINI of Exton. They used to be up the road in Westchester, but had the chance to take over this fantastic space and make the home for MINIs in their area.
11+ service bays, one of the largest showrooms I have even seen at a MINI dealer and a lot so big, I thought the VDC was contracting with them to store MINIs fresh from Oxford!
Everyone we met was great! Very excited about the new store and very excited about continuing to work with Philly MINI and their local community. And, they are also excited to be able to start selling this in the very near future.
We had a great time if you couldn’t tell! If you get the chance, definitely go over to Otto’s MINI to check out the new space. And, of course, don’t forget to let them know that White Roof Radio sent you!
Todd got a great interview with Dr. Kay Segler, MINI Brand Manager Worldwide, at the Detroit Auto Show this past week. Dr. Kay was in a great mood talking with Todd about all great things MINI, including hints of a possible reboot of the JCW MINI GP.
db’s thoughts about those not racing MINIs at Dakar, Todd goes on about windscreen wipers and Chad answers your questions, just your normal run of the mill Woofcast.
There is a lot going on around here. Todd was at the NAIAS this week and got some great interviews that we will be sharing a little later this week. Later this week, you will find both Todd and I at Otto’s MINI of Exton helping them celebrate their grand opening! It’s definitely a big week, stick around!
For those of you that missed it, we also broke the start date and ending city for MTTS. We will have more details about this in the very near future. Make sure you are playing the home game over at Facebook or Twitter to find out sooner than later.
Todd just found some details about the upcoming MINI Takes the States event. The dates are July 4-15 and it will be a cross country trip from east to west. Route details, events and other information is not yet available.
MINI Takes the States is a giant, bi-annual, road trip put on by MINIUSA. It started in 2006 as a way to celebrate the MINI Cooper JCW GP. It was such a huge hit that it has been repeated in 2008 and 2010, both of which were great events!
Stay tuned. Todd is in Detroit at the NAIAS and is getting some great interviews. Expect more exclusives very very soon!
